TRAFFIC has been temporarily halted until noon today on one of the N2 Mount Edgecombe interchange ramps.
The South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL) issued the alert at about 11am, noting that the closure affects the ramp leading off the M41 westbound carriageway onto the N2 southbound towards Durban.
“The stoppage is a safety precaution which is required while the demolition of a temporary structure alongside the ramp is undertaken,” reads a statement from SANRAL.
Demolition of more temporary structures will take place tomorrow, 16 February, from 9am to 1pm adjacent to the N2 southbound carriageway. However these won’t hamper traffic.
“SANRAL apologises for any inconvenience caused.”
