Montclair seniors enjoy a musical morning
The next Montclair Seniors Club meeting will be held as usual on the second of the month

MONTCLAIR Seniors Club’s Dave welcomed all present to the meeting.
Wendy from the Methodist Church opened with devotions, sharing her thoughts on the beauty of nature and how we are a reflection of God, the question of what can we do to make a difference in the world and that little things make a big difference.
The club welcomed Christopher as a new member. After birthday greetings, a joke and refreshments, Mervyn was welcomed to entertain with song accompanied by playing guitar.
As always much enjoyment was had by all present. Members enjoyed the songs which varied from Irish ditties ‘Across Irish Sea’, ‘Sick Note’, and ‘Paddy McGinty’s Goat’, then some Beatles numbers, followed by serious songs such as ‘Hallelujah’ and ‘Dream the Impossible Dream’. To conclude there was a sing-along of old favourites such as ‘Roll out the Barrel’ and ‘When you’re smiling’.
The next Montclair Seniors Club meeting will be held as usual on the second of the month, Thursday, 13 September at 9am for 9.30am. All seniors in the area are welcome to go along for a social morning of fun. Join in as a visitor for a few meetings before you decided to join as a member. Membership fees are R35 per annum, refreshments cost R5 per meeting and raffle tickets are available at R1 each.
