Animal rescue team spoil Montclair vets

Montclair Animal Hospital veterinarians and staff were treated with a lunch and gifts.

MONTCLAIR celebrated and honoured its favourite veterinarians with a surprise party and presents at the Montclair Animal Hospital on 21 September.

The Montclair-Woodlands-Yellowwood Animal Rescue Organisation and community volunteers organised the small party for the vets, Dr Yesh andOmashni Govender, and their staff – much to their surprise.

Maryna Matthews from the rescue organisation said it was awesome to spend the day setting up the party and eagerly awaiting the doctors’ arrival. “They were so shocked to see us all. The surprise handover was on behalf of the different local animal rescue organisations and community volunteers who felt it was time to thank the Govenders for the awesome work they do for the community’s animals.

A flower bouquet was handed over to Omashni, a huge hamper filled with treats for the family, R1,400 was raised in donations for Yesh’s ‘stray account’, massages were given to staff and an awesome lunch served for all,” she said.
