This weekend saw the men’s KZN singles take place, with Richard Hendicott, Paul White and Dave le Roux representing Durban Wanderers.

Richard and Paul lost in their sections, but Dave won through to Sunday, 28 July’s play-offs. Unfortunately, he had to pull out due to illness even though he was leading at the time.

This weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 3 and 4 August, see the champion of champions take place with Awongiwe Somtseu representing the club.

Friday’s various meat pack winners were: lamb pack – Wayne Mack, beef – Jeff Bolt, pork roast – MJ Janse van Rensberg, beef roast – Peter Fox, chicken pack – Leon Haupfleisch, chicken -Barbara Neill. The R700 snowball was a carry over as Gary Clark was not present. The Friday Lotto was a R590 carry over as no one guessed the correct three numbers drawn.

The club’s function rooms – tavern, upstairs and downstairs are now fully renovated and available for hire.

The two squash courts also have some unallocated time slots for members and non-members. Contact the club on 031-462-2320 or pop-in for further enquiries.

Our thoughts and prayers are extended to those members on the recovery list, get well soon fellow Wanderers.
