Golf park reopens after flooding

Only a part of the course is open and the community will be notified when the full course will reopen.

GOLFERS were excited to finally be able to tee off again at the Bluff National Golf Park, as parts of the greens had dried up enough for the nine holes to open for play and practice again.

Flooding of the canals, which run through the park, left many areas of the vast green fields waterlogged, forcing the closure of the area to players and visitors at the club following recent heavy rains.

The park’s environmental representative, Trish Barras, said only nine holes are open, and the community will be notified when the full course will reopen.
