Kayleen Madasamy, the organisation’s chairperson, said that the recent vaccination drive at Rooks Road, Wentworth, on February 9 was very successful.

“We vaccinated approximately 36 dogs with the help of registered professional paravets. The vaccinations were partially at pensioner rates, and the rabies vaccines were provided free in a few cases, while some were at discounted rates. Four cats were vaccinated, over 10 dogs were dewormed, and tick and flea treatments were administered,” Madasamy said.
She added that the Wentworth response was higher than anticipated and that the community received the subsidised services openly and with thanks.

The organisation also ran a vaccination drive at the Yellowwood Park Sports Grounds on February 7. Madasamy stated that attendance was not as they expected, which was possibly due to the inclement weather.
