Help police find a missing Yellowwood Park pensioner

CCTV footage captured Poonsamy Govender crossing a railway line from Yellowwood Park toward Chatsworth on Wednesday morning (April 30).

A 74-YEAR-OLD man from Yellowwood Park is missing and the public is being urged to assist the police in finding him.

Poonsamy ‘Jay’ Govender was last seen on Wednesday (April 30) at his home in Yellowwood Park.

According to Reaction Unit South Africa (Rusa) Govender’s family provided information that he was seen on a residential CCTV footage crossing a railway line into Chatsworth at around 07:20.

He was wearing a black fleece jacket and a pair of blue jeans.

“The footage showed that he was in possession of a packet. The contents of the packet are unknown to the family.

“Govender is 1.7m in height and has grey hair. He has no history of drug or alcohol abuse and is not on any chronic medication,” said Rusa in a statement.
