Robbery suspect nabbed during patrols
The suspect is expected to appear in court soon as investigations continue into other possible accomplices linked to the robberies.
A SUSPECT linked to a series of alleged robbery incidents in Montclair was arrested at Leicester Road this week.
According to Richard Hawksworth from Fitama Protection Services, while the officers were doing patrols on Leicester Road, members of the Special Operations Unit observed a robbery from persons in progress involving a white Renault Triber.

“The vehicle fled the scene at high speed, leaving the armed suspect behind. Upon noticing the marked patrol vehicle, the suspect attempted to evade arrest on foot. Members of the Special Operations Unit immediately initiated a foot pursuit,” said Hawksworth.
He said during the pursuit, the suspect discarded a 9mm handgun by throwing it underneath a truck in an attempt to avoid being linked to the weapon.
