Wentworth Angels to host last initiative before its doors close
The organisation actively tackled crime related issues and gender based violence cases, while also assisting residents with drug rehabilitation.
UNABLE to serve the community under the banner of her organisation, Wentworth Angels, founder Tracey Williams is planning her last Christmas initiative, this year, before the organisation closes it’s doors.
After 14 years, Williams, who is shutting down the organisations operations due to personal reasons, said she hoped that the annual Adopt a Child campaign, which enables the community to sponsors an underprivileged child by buying them clothing, shoes and toiletries, will be supported by residents.
A special event scheduled for December 16, will include the distribution of hot meals, party packs for the children and grocery hampers for the senior citizens.

“I hold many projects close to my heart, especially those that entail single mothers trying on their own and gender based violence, as I was victim of both. I turned my negative situation into one that became positive as I uplifted single mothers and youth. I always thank God for the lessons I learnt, as I did not allow it to break me,” said Williams.
With her heart in serving her community and making a positive change, Williams was determined to rise above her circumstances and became a motivational speaker.
Driven by her passion to make a difference, she started Wentworth Angels to be able to better assist families who lived in poverty, as well as single parent households.

“Serving in the community has had its ups and downs, and certainly was not always easy, but I strived to assist where I could.
“With Christmas cheer preparations beginning for Wentworth Angels early this year, as I will be stepping down from my role of serving the community due to personal reasons, I hope people find it in their hearts to get involved, either by joining me or donating,” Williams said.
