Reporting electricity outages outside load-shedding hours
The Bluff joined the ranks of dozens of other eThekwini areas that have had loss of power outside of loadshedding hours.
WITH an influx of reports relating to electricity outages outside of the hours of load-shedding, Ward 66 councillor Zoe Solomon is urging residents to use the correct format of reporting.
“The Bluff joined the ranks of dozens of other eThekwini areas that have had a loss of power outside of load-shedding hours. The city is in crisis as our damaged infrastructure battles to deal with the surges. We have a large area out and have no turnaround except to be told to report in a certain format because there are hundreds of outages across the city,” Solomon said.

If your electricity goes off outside of load-shedding, the following format for reporting back to your street group or councillor must be used:
*Complaint
*Description and severity
*Street Address
*Suburb
*Name
*Contact No
*Additional info or ref
Information can be sent via WhatsApp to 076 791 2449.
“Only this format can be escalated due to the high volume of outages in eThekwini,” Solomon added.
