She said the children were treated to a day filled with great entertainment including music and dance, a jumping castle, face painting, story-telling and a meet and greet with Father Christmas. They were also treated to a delicious lunch and goodie bags.
“The festivity of the season was felt by all in attendance. The centre is grateful for the children of our community as well as their parents and guardians for participating and helping us make the day so special.
“It was certainly a moment in time that won’t soon be forgotten. We would like to thank all our sponsors and those who assisted in making the event possible,” she said.
Nishell Pieters, a community member and pre-school teacher said: “I saw Jesus turn two fish and five loaves (of bread) into plentiful. As I watched over 400 children stream in, I was in awe of how magical and beautiful everything turned out.
“The children were so happy and grateful and everyone was in high spirits. No child was turned away. I would like to say well done to the centre and thank them for giving the children of Wentworth a moment in time,” she said
