From the editor’s desk: Who will be the winner?

WE, and I am sure the readers as well, are eager to know who took the coveted prize of the best business in Toti and in The Bluff in the Best of Reader’s Choice Awards.

It is clear, however, that some of the past winners are still very much in the running of taking the certificate home again, while other businesses have stepped it up and their business name has come through very strong for them as well.

As the counting continues for both areas, we tend to put a “wager” on who will be this years’ winner. It is nice to see how the dynamics of the business industry have changed in just 12 months.

It’s really an exciting time of the year, not just for the SUN, but also for business owners, managers and our readers. The Readers’ Choice Awards is a clear indication of how shoppers feel about local businesses, the service they receive and the quality product that is on offer. It also adds to our local economy, especially when tourists visit our beautiful area.

Requests for a few more categories have come through as well, which means that we will definitely look at a revamp of the categories in next year’s awards. The venues have been confirmed and we eagerly wait for the evening to take place. The winners will be announced in June.
