MAY 6:
THERE will be a car show and family fun day in The Square at the Amanzimtoti CBD on May 6, from 11:00 to 22:00. The charity event, organised by Mug ‘n Dine Restaurant, with the help of sponsors, promises to be a fun-filled day with a flea market, jumping castle, clown, music, fire truck and foam demonstration. The car show exhibition will thrill car enthusiasts with a show and shine, sound-off, glow-off, park-off and low limbo. There is a R10 000 cash prize for the loudest sound-off car, as well as R10 000 that will be split between different categories. The address is 27 Commercial Road, Lifegro Centre. MAY 6:

MAY 15:
THE next Toti senior`s meeting will not be held on May 8 due to the national bowls tournament being held at the meeting venue. The meeting will be held at Amanzimtoti Bowling Club on May 15 at 09:30 for 10:00. There will be an interesting speaker and entertainer at the meeting. Entrance fee of R10 which covers the meeting expenses, tea and a biscuit. Membership is open to all persons over 50 years who wants to meet people and join outings to places of interest. MAY 26:
VISIT the Toti Moonlight Market on May 26, from 16:00 to 21:00 at Amanzimtoti Rugby Club, 1 Riverside Road. There will be lots of stalls to browse, delicious food and drinks, kids entertainment and live music. Entry is free and everyone is welcome. Call 062 973 8657 for stall bookings.


MAY 27:
THE Amanzimtoti SPCA will be hosting its first open day of the year on May 27, from 08:30 to 11:45. In an attempt to raise awareness and much-needed funds for the animals in its care, the Toti SPCA hosts open days to showcase the work it does. On the day, there will be breakfast rolls, vegan food, pancakes and baked goods for sale, as well as specials at their charity shop, with a crate of books for R60. JUNE 4:
THE next full moon beach walk is scheduled to take place on June 4 at 17:30, from the Baggies Kiosk in Warner Beach.
This popular social event follows the shoreline along the beach from Baggies Beach to Winkle Beach and back. It is about 4km, but you can turn back whenever you want. Other upcoming dates: July 3, August 1 and 31 (Blue Moon), September 29, October 28, November 27 and December 27. All beach walks will be at 17:30 from the Baggies Kiosk. JUNE 18:
THE Kingsburgh Lions Club is hosting a Father’s Day family fun day on June 18 at Mills Bomb Shellhole in Warner Beach from 13:00 to 16:00. Tickets for the fundraising event are R60, under 16s free. There is a cash bar and braai facilities. Bring your own meat and picnic. There will be silly, fun field games for the children, music and prizes up for grabs.
