JUST IN: Shooting incident in Wentworth leaves two people injured

The suspects in the gang-related shooting fled the scene, evading arrest.

TWO bystanders have been shot in a gang-related shooting incident that took place on April 22, in Wentworth.

Dhevan Govindasamy, PT Alarms spokesperson, said the incident took place just outside Umbilo Secondary School on the corner of Hime and Major Culvert Street. He said a gang-related issue resulted in the members firing multiple shots at each other, injuring the two bystanders.

The suspects reportedly fled the scene in a white vehicle, according to Govindasamy. The Wentworth Police, PT Tactical Unit and metro police all responded to the alert.
