Widowed and Single Parents organisation makes massive vitamin donation

The Widowed and Single Parents organisation made a generous donation of over 9 700 vitamins to various organisations.

WIDOWED and Single Parents (Wasp) has once more demonstrated its commitment to the betterment of society through a generous donation of vitamins and hygiene essentials to institutions in Durban South and the surrounding suburbs.

Brian Naidoo, founder of the non-profit organisation, announced that they had donated a total of 9 709 vitamin lozenges, 2 202 bottles (200ml) of vitamin syrup and 287 shampoos for the use of those in need.

“These essentials will have an enormous impact in helping support the health and well-being of our community. With the help of the community, we can continue to provide critical resources to those most vulnerable,” said Naidoo.

The goods donated were distributed to organisations providing care and support to vulnerable members including:

  • Merewent Cheshire Home
  • Sparks Estate Cheshire
  • Team Care (FOSA)
  • SCDIFA Cheshire for Adults
  • Chatsworth Cheshire for Children
  • Saint Monica’s Children’s Home
  • Tafta
  • The Elders Voice KZN
  • Northern Sparrows
  • Robin Hood Foundation
  • Point Watersports Club
  • Merebank Senior Citizens
  • Aurora Hands
  • Elim Senior Citizens
  • Caring of People
  • Warming the Hearts Through Feeding
  • Several individual beneficiaries in need.

Naidoo thanked the donors wholeheartedly for the generous donation, pointing out that the donation provides wings to Wasp’s purpose and hope for so many.

Besides this recent donation, Wasp continues to appeal for the support of canned food and bread for their on-going drive. The organisation is also looking for a car trailer that would help them intensify their work.
