Nizam Road Primary School celebrates 60 years with fusion night fundraiser

Nizam Road Primary School was alive with jubilee and celebration as they marked a milestone anniversary with a market.

THE Nizam Road Primary School commemorated its 60th anniversary recently with a vibrant Fusion Night that collected funds to renovate the school’s junior block facilities. The event brought about 450 participants who united in support of the school’s future development.

Deputy principal Jennifer Judy Mangaroo described the event as a night of energy and entertainment. Learners wowed the audience with high-energy performances of song and dance, showcasing the rich talent of the school. Renowned comedian Bash with Tash had guests in stitches with her comedic performance, while live performances by Lauren Cassels, Dynamic Qwaito, DJ Snowy and DJ Menace created an electric atmosphere. The Wentworth Dance Academy also amazed the audience with their lively performance.

The event boasted a variety of food stalls, selling items including boerewors rolls, hotdogs, fresh chips, savouries, slushies and popcorn.

Mangaroo expressed her gratitude for the strong support from parents, learners and the community.

“The money raised will help enhance infrastructure of our junior block. We are extremely thankful to all individuals who came out and contributed to making the event a success,” she said.

Mangaroo said the school extended its  thanks to PT Alarms for tactical services and security, Ivan Moses and the CPF for security support, ALS Emergency Services, Blitz Lighting and dedicated staff and school governing body members.

The Fusion Night provided not only a night of fun and friendship but also helped reinforce the feeling of a close-knit community that is the signature of Nizam Road Primary School.
