Brian Naidoo, the founder of the non-profit, said the initiative was meant to alleviate the financial pressure on families and ensure that learners are equipped with tools that make them effective at learning.

“We donated stationery to all schools in Merebank, both primary and secondary. This included writing books, pens, rulers, pencils, permanent markers, chalkboard rulers and photocopy paper,” he said.

List of schools:

  • Alipore Primary.
  • Junagarth Primary.
  • Rustomjee Primary.
  • Settlers Primary.
  • Nizam Road Primary.
  • Parkgate Primary.
  • Merebank Secondary.
  • R. Pather Secondary.
  • Ganges Secondary.

Naidoo said they were also able to donate to St Monica’s Children’s Home and New Wave Ministries Children’s Home.

In addition, through Wasp outreach, a number of families and needy learners received stationery packs. Naidoo extended heartfelt gratitude to all the sponsors who made the project possible.

“Thank you to our kind sponsors who contributed to this drive. Your support enables us to keep uplifting our communities,” he said.
