Montclair learners showcase South African cultures at school concert

Learners at St Raphael's School enacted a scene, 'Amabutho escorting the newly elected king to the ceremony', at a concert.

IN a heartwarming display of talent and cultural appreciation, the learners at St Raphael’s School in Montclair recently held a spectacular concert that celebrated the rich and diverse heritage of South Africa.

Dimple Hurjan, the school’s departmental head, said the empowering event not only showcased the remarkable abilities of the learners but also served as a beautiful reminder of inclusivity and unity within society.

“The concert served as a testament to the boundless potential within every individual, irrespective of their abilities, and served as a platform for the learners of a special needs school to demonstrate that true artistry knows no limitations.

“It is events like these that remind us of the incredible talent that exists within our communities inspiring us to build a society that fosters inclusivity and celebrates the unique heritage of all its citizens,” she said.
