FETAKGOMO TUBATSE LOCAL MUNICIPALITY PUBLIC NOTICE: FETAKGOMO TUBATSE LOCAL MUNICIPALITY. DRAFT HUMAN SETTLEMENTS SECTOR PLAN. The Fetakgomo Tubatse Municipal Council has developed a Draft Human Settlements Sector Plan, developed in terms of the Housing Act, Act 107 of 1997 read together with section 21 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act 2000 (Act 32 of 2000) for public consultation. The Human Settlements Sector Plan is developed to reflect current and future proposed Human Settlements and enhance integrated effective housing planning and implementation at provincial and municipal level to accommodate new paradigm shifts and mandates indicated Nationally as per the new Government (viz. emphasis on rural development, poverty alleviation, massive informal settlements upgrading and other housing related variables dictated by the new planning regime
•consolidation of infrastructure and alignment thereof with housing development processes). In line with section 21 of the Municipal Systems Act 2000, all interested and affected parties are hereby invited to make inputs and representations on the Draft Human Settlements Sector Plan. The Draft Human Settlements Sector Plan can be viewed during normal office hours (7H30 am to 16H00 pm) at all municipal offices (Burgersfort, Apel, Ohrigstad, Praktiseer, Atok, Mapodila, Mohlaletse) of Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality from the 16th February 2026. Alternatively, it can be downloaded from the municipality website at www.ftlm.gov.za. The closing date for comments on the draft document is 30 days after publication of the notice. Comments on the document must be addressed to the Municipal Manager and submitted to your nearest Municipal office.
