FETAKGOMO TUBATSE LOCAL MUNICIPALITY PUBLIC NOTICE CALLING FOR INSPECTION OF THE SUPPLEMENTARY VALUATION ROLL 3 AND LODGING OF OBJECTIONS. Notice is hereby given in terms of section 49(1)(a)(i) read together with section 78(2) of the Local Government Municipal Property Rates Act, 2004 (Act No. 6 of 2004), hereinafter referred to as the “ACT” that the Supplementary Valuation Roll for the financial years 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026 is open for public inspection at the Fetakgomo-Tubatse Local Municipality from the 11th May 2026 to 30th June 2026. In addition, the Supplementary Valuation Roll is available on the Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality website: ww.ftlm.gov.za and at the following venues and Regional Office listed below on Mondays to Fridays during office hours from 07:30 to 16:00:
•Burgersfort Civic Center, 01 Kastania Street, Burgersfort;
•Apel Regional Office, GA-Nkwana Mashung;
•Ohrighstad Satellite Office. An invitation is hereby made in terms of section 49(1)(a)(ii) of the Act to any owner of property or any other person who may wish to lodge an objection with the Municipal Manager in respect of any matter reflected in, or omitted from, the general valuation roll. The objection must be submitted within the above- mentioned inspection period. Attention is specifically drawn to the fact that in terms of section 50 (2) of the Act an objection must be in relation to a specific individual property and not against the Valuation Roll. The lodging of objections in terms of Chapter 4(d) of the Regulations to the Act can be done at the municipal offices where staff will be available to assist, or preferably on-line on the municipality`s website www.ftlm.gov.za . Kindly bring this Section 49 notice when lodging your objection, as this will expedite the process. Persons who cannot read and write may visit office number 04 on the Lower Ground Burgersfort Municipal offices where an explanation will be given to such persons as well as provision of assistance regarding transcribing their comments or representation. The completed form must be returned to the Budget and Treasury Office, Revenue Unit, Office 04, Lower Ground Floor.
