PUBLIC NOTICE: PART 2 AMENDMENT APPLICATION FOR THE AUTHORISED TOURNE SOLAR PARK GRID CONNECTION, LEKWA LOCAL MUNICIPALITY, GERT SIBANDE DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY, MPUMALANGA PROVINCE
DFFE REFERENCE NUMBER: 2026-03-0034 Project Description:
Tourne 1 Solar (RF) (Pty) Ltd (the Applicant) received Environmental Authorisation (EA), dated 06 June 2024 (DFFE Ref: 14/12/16/3/3/1/2929) for the proposed Tourne Solar Park Grid Connection in the Lekwa Local Municipality, Gert Sibande District Municipality, Mpumalanga Province. The development includes an Overhead Powerline (OHPL) (approximately 6.7km), a 132kV substation, expansion of an existing substation and access roads.
The Applicant intends to undertake a Part 2 Amendment process to amend the approved layout, the corresponding details in the EA, and the approved Environmental Management Programme (EMPr).

The Project is located approximately 26km to the northeast of Standerton and 35km southeast of Secunda, north of the R39 and east of the R38

Terramanzi Group (on behalf of the Applicant) is undertaking a public participation process in terms of the EIA Regulations, 2014 (as amended) published under the National Environmental Management, 1998 (NEMA) (Act No. 107 of 1998).
