NOTICE OF AN APPLICATION FOR AN ATMOSPHERIC EMISSION LICENCE (AEL) FOR MK METAL INDUSTRIES (PTY) LTD, LOCATED ON ERF NO. 1319 IN SOUTH GERMISTON, CITY OF EKURHULENI, GAUTENG PROVINCE Notice is, hereby, given in terms of Section 38(3) (a) and (b) of the National Environmental Management: Air Quality Act (Act No. 39 of 2004) (NEM: AQA), as amended, of an invitation to register comments with regards to a new application for an Atmospheric Emission Licence (AEL) in terms of Section 37 (1) of NEM: AQA, as amended, for MK Metal Industries (Pty) Ltd.
NATURE OF APPLICATION:
The application for the AEL is being made in terms of Section 21 of the NEM: AQA, read with GNR 893 of 22 November 2013 (as amended), in respect of the following listed activities:
CATEGORY 4: METALLURGICAL INDUSTRY, SUB- CATEGORY 4.13: LEAD SMELTING, SUB-CATEGORY 4.20: SLAG PROCESSES, AND SUB-CATEGORY 4.21: METAL RECOVERY.
The site is situated on Erf No. 1319 in South Germiston, and falls under the jurisdiction of the City of Ekurhuleni.
