On Sunday, 24 July Ramblers will take a hike to Rocky Bay in Scottburgh.

Call hike leader Jill Dunstone on 084-780-0818. This new hike is great for winter as it is almost totally exposed for the whole length. The terrain is easy and mainly through sugarcane. A hat and water are essential and binos in case you are lucky enough to spot a whale. If the weather is good, take along your costumes to swim after the hike or have drinks in the pub. Meet at Glenwood Village, 397 Che Guevara (Moore) Road at 7.30am or Rocky Bay resort in time to start hiking at 8.30am. Petrol sharing costs R45 and the entrance fee is R20. Hikers are to note that they must phone the hike leader in advance if they intend joining this 19km hike, which is graded two.
