Noisy greens signify chicken fun day’s success

WOW, what a turnout for Woodlands Bowling Club chicken fun day.
The club thanks everybody who joined in on Saturday.
It was wonderful to see so many new faces. A lot of fun was had, with a lot of noise being made on the greens. Many thanks to all the members and their wives for the lovely selection of snacks made available. Many thanks to Dennis Holloway for the Spur vouchers handed out to the non-bowlers who had jack touchers.
The winning team was Dennis Holloway, Andy Cloete, Colleen Cloete and Hanno Bloem on a +11. The sportsman’s prize went to the team of Norman Moore, Lynn Carlyle, Liam McIntosh and Kelly Weitsz.
Although Wednesday is a holiday, due to the voting, the club will still host the open pairs competition on Wednesday. To enter a team, call Linda Hewer on 082-725-6575 and on Thursday it’s the breakfast casual fours competition. To enter a team contact Arthur Carlyle on 076-588-7377.
