Drawn mixed pairs win goes to Norman, Lynn

ON Saturday in pleasant weather, the Woodlands Bowling Club drawn mixed pairs was played with Norman Moore and Lynn Carlyle against Colleen Blenner-Hassett and David Lloyd.
Norman and Lynn won by a big margin and then the wheels fell off and Colleen and David started to catch up but in the end, the winners were Norman Moore and Lynn Carlyle on 17-15.
The other game played was the men’s drawn pairs with Tom Cloete and Arthur Carlyle against Harold Dix and Eric Coetzee. Tom and Arthur were the victors on 20-12.
Sunday dawned hot with no wind for the shirts and skirts breakfast. A lot of fun was had on the greens with the spectators giving their two cents’ worth as well. Overall winners were Andy Cloete and David Lloyd on 4+8 and second session winners were Robin Grobler and Jimmy Neill on 2+8. The Hewers snatched the money board with Linda taking the R40 and Bill the R20. The meat raffle is a carry-over to Thursday. Drawn prizes went to skip – Harold Dix and lead Bill Hewer.
