Rice’s team bows out of PN fours

On Sunday morning in overcast and windy and chilly weather, Gloria Rice, Rina Harper, Linda Hewer and Lynn Carlyle played at Westville Bowling Club in the knockout of the Port Natal fours competition.

WEDNESDAY, 5 October saw the any pairs competition played, with a good turnout at Woodlands Bowling Club.

Second session winners were Bob Hayward and Johan Nel.

Overall winners were Doug Moore and Roy Olivier. Linda Hewer and Doug Moore snapped the R40 money boards with Dave Carroll and Michelle Nortje snagging the R20.

Dirk Roos won the roast chicken, bread rolls, Liqui Fruit and a chocolate and thanks go to Spar for sponsoring. Drawn prizes went to skip – Kurt Spack and lead – Eileen du Plessis. There were two swindle sheets with Dave Carroll and Herbie Roux each winning.

Thursday was the breakfast casual fours. Overall winners were Robbie Carr, Honey, Tom Cloete and Robert Armstrong. Second session winners were Rina Harper, Norman Moore, Jumbo Nel and Johan Nel. Chris Pozyn won the meat raffle thanks to CS Solutions for sponsoring. Arthur Carlyle and Andy Cloete grabbed the R40 money board with Kurt Spack and Margaret Walters taking the R20. The winners of the two swindle sheets were Andy Cloete and Ken Thomas.
