Robin, Errol claim pairs WBC title
The weekly joker draw was another consolation winner with Terrence McGlynn claiming the consolation prize of R50.

THIS weekend saw Robin Grobler and Errol Pienaar beat Titch Phillips and Robbie Spiller to claim the men’s drawn pairs title at Wanderers Bowling Club (WBC).
Joanne Jordaan and Margeret Kitchenbrand also processed to the finals of the women’s singles.
Well done to all.
The monthly any pairs competition was held on Sunday with the following results: Sportsman’s prize went to Ken and Julia. Session prizes went Tommy and Andy Cloete, and Chris Klopper and Eric Swanson. In third overall and claiming the Dan Paruk sponsored prize was Clive ‘Joker’ Symons and Jackie Freeman on a 4+8. Second place overall was Lofty Cawthorne and Archie Fisher on a 4+14, and first prize went to Terry Brown and Derek Stevens on a 4+24. Board draws saw Tommy Simpkins (R40), Arnie Harper (R20) and Lofty (R25) claim the prizes.
Friday’s snowball of R600 was won by Porky. The various meat pack winners were: Lamb pack – Henry Jack, beef – Dan Paruk, pork roast – Brian Craig, rump – Norman B, chicken pack – Richard Hendicott, chicken – Brian Craig.
The lotto was also a carry-over of R600. The weekly joker draw was another consolation winner with Terrence McGlynn claiming the consolation prize of R50. The carry-over is now R4,500.
