Rain postpones WBC breakfast trips

IT was with great sadness that the last breakfast trips of the year at Wanderers Bowling Club (WBC) was cancelled on Sunday.
Although the rain appeared to be subsiding, consideration had to be taken regarding the greens, the people who travel great distances to participate and the weather which was still threatening.
Special thanks to the monthly sponsors and last weekend’s sponsors who donated so generously. Their contributions are greatly appreciated. On reflection it was decided to try and host the breakfast trips again this coming Sunday, 18 December. Contact Jeff to confirm your sides on 082-808-7793.
Friday’s snowball of R800 was a carry-over as Mr G Reddie was not present. The various meat pack winners were: Lamb pack – Johnny McGregor, gammon – Derek R, pork roast – Darren H, rump – Boni, chicken pack – Terry Brown, chicken – Keith Wild.

The weekly joker draw was another consolation winner with Porky claiming the R50, and the potential prize is now over R7,700.
Friday, 23 December will see the annual Wanderers Golf Classic take place at Toti Golf Course – the list is on the board, so put your names down or give Mike Flack a call to enter a side 083-227-1900.
