Ramblers beach hike to follow AGM

This hike will take in the sights of the beach, with tidal pools and rocky outcrops from Ballito to Salt Rock.

DURBAN Ramblers Hiking Club holds its AGM on Saturday, 11 February.

The AGM will be held at noon in the meeting room of the Palmiet Nature Reserve, Old New Germany Road.

Parking is available.

After the meeting, which normally is concluded by 1pm, the club will provide braai fires. Take your own food, drinks, cutlery, crockery and a chair for a get-together after the meeting. For more information, call chairman Philip Collyer on 082-417-0204.

 

On Sunday, 12 February hikers will take a beach hike to Ballito to Salt Rock.

This hike will take in the sights of the beach, with tidal pools and rocky outcrops from Ballito to Salt Rock. Return via the same route or through the suburbs. Optional lunch and drinks afterwards. Take your costumes for a quick dip. Meet at 7.30am at Virginia Airport or at 8am at Tedder Way, Ballito. Petrol sharing costs R20. This 10km hike is graded two.
