Quins runners taper down pre-Comrades training

Due to the darker evenings as winter approaches, all runners are urged to wear light clothing

LAST Wednesday’s time results at Harlequins Harriers Athletics Club reflect the slowdown in intensity, with just over two weeks before the Comrades Marathon.

Time trial results from Wednesday, 17 May:

4.7km (up run): Donovan Lelong 23.04, Andrea Battaglia 23.05, Basil Kok 25.54, Daniel Human 25.54, Billy Davidson 29.30, Bill Hogg 31.30.

Due to the earlier onset of evenings as winter approaches, all runners are urged to wear light clothing and/or reflective belts while out on the roads. Call Judy Conlin on 083-603-2877 if you’re interested in one of the limited number of 2017 licences still available. The club welcomes your support.

Time trials take place every Wednesday evening at 5.45pm, starting at Bluff National Golf Club in Club Drive. All are welcome.
