Harold, Gavin prevail in men’s drawn pairs semi final

On Sunday, 27 August the club will host the ‘shirts and skirts’.

LAST Saturday the first round of the Woodlands Bowling Club men’s drawn pairs was played between Harold Dix and Gavin Conlon against Andy Cloete and Jason Hewer, with Harold and Gavin winning on 21-13.

The final of the mixed pairs was also played between Rina Harper and Bill Hewer against Tom Cloete and Lynn Carlyle with Tom and Lynn the victors on 20-12.

On Saturday the men’s drawn pairs semi-final was played between Harold Dix and Gavin Conlon and Norman Moore and Eric Coetzee. The spoils went to Harold and Gavin on 17-14, so they’re through to the finals. On the rink next door, social players had fun and welcomed Lynn Williams who joined in for the afternoon. They hope to see Lynn again soon.
