Hikers set to explore D’Moss trails

DURBAN Ramblers Hiking Club hikes to the D’Moss Portuguese Club in Umbilo from 1.45pm on Saturday, 7 October.

This hike of about 7km is graded one, easy. It is a great beginners’ hike intended to explore the Umbilo D’Moss trail and surrounds. Hikers are to meet and park at 1.45pm at the Portuguese Club at 5 Wright Place, Carrington Heights.

On Sunday, 8 October, hikers will explore Killarney Rockeries in Cato Ridge at 7.30am.

Call hike leader Margie Forbes on 073-437-6915. This 14km hike is graded two to three. The terrain is steep in places and will hopefully reveal lots of Spring flowers. Join in for refreshments at Highstakes after the hike. Petrol sharing from Pinetown costs R30.
