Protea-led PN fours team puts paid to Bluff BC’s hopes
Sunday, 15 October is the Bluff any pairs sponsored by Brian and Dudley, let’s see if we can get 24 teams playing.

THE rain on Saturday spoilt the nominated pairs match played at Bluff Bowling Club.
This game will be continued on Saturday at 11am, as there are a number of men’s and women competitions posted for 2pm, so members are asked to check the notice board.
In the Port Natal men’s fours competition, Bluff BC’s remaining side won its game on Saturday to get through to the last 16. On Sunday their game was against Stella Park, skipped by Wayne Rittmuller, a Protea bowler who has just won three gold medals for his country. Bluff BC’s team of Robert Mhlongo, Eddie Human, Noel Morel and Sheldon Wicks fared well but went down 24-16 in the end.
The Diving Bell any pairs tournament was played on Sunday and the following were prize winners: 1st session Rob Armstrong and Wayne Smith, second session terry Micholson and Ann Bonthrone, and overall prize went to Jorge Santos and Deon Els. The board was won by Honey Kitchenbrand and the raffle by Elize Stapelberg.
On Friday night the attendance draw was won by Yvonne Johnston who was not present so it carries over, the lotto was won by Michael Schudel and Allen Ritchie and the joker draw was won by Kurt Spack’s syndicate who were unable to locate the joker so it carries over to R4,700. It would be good to see more members supporting the club’s Friday night activities.
