Bluff BC regroups for weekend finals after storm damage

There are competitions posted for Saturday and Sunday, members are asked to please check the boards.

AFTER the storm damage, Bluff Bowling Club was able to get the greens back to a playable position for the weekend, when two final competitions were played on Saturday.

In the women’s drawn pairs Janice Rodgers and Ronel Moral beat Elize Stapelberg and Phyllis Maritz and in the mixed drawn trips, Eddie Human, Dawn Spack and Sheldon Wicks beat Clinton Bisset, Glynis Mackrory and Harvey Simpkin.

On Sunday, the Bluff any pairs sponsored by Dudley and Brian saw first session go to Colin Nicholas and Ron Hoof. Second session went to Eddie Human and George Nel and overall winners were Deon Els and Sheldon Wicks. The board went to Michael Schudel and the raffle to Glynis Mackrory.

On Friday night the attendance draw, lotto and joker draw were all carried over and there are now some great opportunities to win, so members are aurged to support the club on Friday night.

The bar is now open on weekdays from noon to 6pm so support the club. There will be a work party to repair the storm damage on Wednesday from 11am, so if you are able to assist, go along and help.
