Spider and Sheldon advance in Bluff BC men’s drawn pairs

The lotto was a carry over again this week and the jackpot is now standing at R1,480 rand.

AT Bluff Bowling Club on Saturday afternoon, Spider Williams and Sheldon Wicks eked out a narrow victory over Robert Mhlongo and Brian Osman in an exciting tussle which was as hot as the weather, to go through to the next round of the men’s drawn pairs.

On the next rink the semi final of the men’s drawn fours was played, with the father-son challenge of Dudley and Greg Dorrofield on the go.

This time the honours went to Dorrofield senior when Dudley’s side was too strong for Greg’s team.

The women competitions began on Saturday with two open singles matches being played. Experienced campaigner Glynis Macrory beat Louise du Plessis while Elize Stapelberg overcame Honey Kitchenbrand.

The Warwick twilight trips continued on Friday night and after three rounds, there are only two unbeaten sides, with Gary Moffat’s and Eddie Human’s teams doing battle this Friday. The lotto was a carry-over again and the jackpot now stands at R1,480.

The joker draw was won by Dudley but he unfortunately couldn’t convert the R50 to the R10,000 prize up for grabs. The joker prize now stands at R10,550 rand so ensure you get your tickets on Friday.

The draw for the Port Natal singles has been posted on the boards so check to see where and when you are playing.
