Thula conquers Two Oceans for Quins AC

All prospective Comrades runners are urged to submit their qualifying details

HARLEQUINS Harriers Athletics Club’s sole entrant in the tough 56km Two Oceans Ultra Marathon on Saturday, 31 March was Thula Masemola.

The club is proud of and congratulates Thula on completing the ultra marathon in a time of 6.28.

Time trial results from Wednesday, 4 April:

4.7km up run: Donovan Lelong 20.45, Connor Young 20.48, Graham King 21.26, Basil Kok 21.41, Gareth Hornby 23.17, Chris Smith 23.54, Chris King 24.19, Marlin Wilson 25.44, Daniel Human 27.29, Justin Smith 27.29, Kathy Murray 27.37, Paul Murray 27.37.

Good luck to all athletes taking part in the Bergville Ladysmith 52km on Saturday, 7 April as well as the Durban City Marathon, half marathon and 10km events on Sunday, 15 April.

Time trial results from Wednesday, 28 March:

4.7km down run: Basil Kok 20.50, Graham Smith 21.47, Chris Smith 22.26 (2018 PB), Justin Ellero 27.14, Marlin Wilson 27.14, Billy Davidson 30.10, Debbie Stringer 35.13, Bronwen Gordon 35.13.

As autumn is approaching, athletes are urged to wear light clothing and reflective gear while out running. This will increase their visibility.

All prospective Comrades runners are urged to submit their qualifying details to Comrades Marathon office by Wednesday, 2 May.

Harlequins Harrier time trials take place every Wednesday at 5.45pm, starting at Bluff National Golf Club in Club Drive. All are welcome.
