As is tradition, every Saturday tennis enthusiasts converged on the club grounds to take part in friendly, low-pressure matches designed to encourage participation rather than competition.

Light rain passed over the courts mid-session, but the weather did little to deter the group. Players continued their games with enthusiasm, determined to finish each rally and set before heading off for a break.

The session once again demonstrated why the club’s social tennis programme remains a staple in the sporting community.

Trevor Small, one of the people who visits the club to participate in social and league games, was impressed with Saturday’s gathering.

“Social tennis are the preparations for the upcoming competitions and league games. Tennis enthusiasts take part in these social games to prepare themselves,” said Small.
