The centre is inviting the community to join in on a day that looks to celebrate the abilities of children and young adults living with autism.

Solosh Naiker, chairperson of Colours of Bliss said, “Many of our children are excluded from regular sports days and school activities. Mini sports gala gives them a safe space to play, compete and be cheered on. It’s about dignity, joy and showing the community what our learners are capable of.”

The event forms part of the centre’s outreach and awareness campaign. Activities will include fun games, novelty items and sensory-friendly sports stations tailored to different abilities. Every participant will be given a ‘goody’ bag and refreshments.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend in support. There will be food stalls, refreshments and information tables for families seeking advice on autism support. Guests are asked to wear blue in solidarity with autism awareness.
