He's the fourth South African to achieve the feat in ODIs.
Proteas leggie Imran Tahir became only the fourth South African to take a hat-trick in ODIs during Wednesday night’s second ODI against Zimbabwe in Bloemfontein.
The evergreen 39-year-old achieved the feat over the spread of two overs and finished with figures of 6/24 in the 120-run win.
The others are Charl Langeveldt (v West Indies, 2005), JP Duminy (v Sri Lanka, 2015) and Kagiso Rabada (v Bangladesh, 2015).
