All The Bids are in

With all the recent National Sales now a thing of the past it should go without saying that all the bids are in.

And in the case of All The Bids on Sunday it should, in theory, be all over bar the shouting for him winning Race 7, a Pinnacle Stakes over 1800m at Flamingo Park on Sunday.

The best progeny of Daring Bid to date has been in smashing form this year which has seen the three-year-old shoot to a questionable 114 merit rating. The Corne Spies trained gelding was impressive when handing out big margin winners in March (5.50 lengths over Random Al) and (5.50 lengths over Smanjemanje).

There were questions marks over whether All The Bids was as good over further than 1600m and those doubts were put to sleep with his very easy win over 2200m in his penultimate race. His last run on the Vaal Sand was decent enough if one takes into account the level of opposition he raced against last time

All The Bids has regular rider Fanie Chambers aboard and is very well weighted so should make all without much fuss. His only real disappointment this year was when Jaguar got the better of him under a cunning ride from Muzi Yeni three runs back. All The Bids did not quicken that day.

Smanjemanje is not the force he once was but was not disgraced when runner-up to All The Bids last time out but is 1kg worse off. Stone Pine is clearly better than the last time he ran behind All The Bids (was 6.75 lengths adrift and is 1kg worse off) but looks likely to run well in this race.

Deckie Boy, African Gladiator and Pontedera will all need All The Bids to run below his best if they are to win but could earn stake cheques for their connections.
