Stick with Stem In Die Bos

The early money has come for the Dennis Drier-trained The Tripster in Race 1 but it may be worth sticking to Stem In Die Bos at Kenilworth today as this gelding was a most unlucky loser of his latest.

This Trippi gelding looked to be travelling far better than the winner Captain Sam did going into the final 100m so it came as somewhat of a surprise that he got touched off by a short-head.

The form of jockey Bernard Fayd’Herbe and trainer Joey Ramsden has been outstanding recently, having won a Grade 1 with Act Of War among many other races.

Fayd’Herbe gets his second chance aboard Stem In Die Bos and hopefully he will make amends for that narrow last defeat.

This slightly longer trip should not be a problem and Stem In Die Bos looks a safe BiPot banker.

Another in-form yard (Mike Bass) sends out Line Break in Race 2 and this Dynasty gelding should go close to winning this MR 72 handicap over 1200m.

Line Break won his debut when beating subsequent winner Dynastic by a short-head over this distance at Durbanville.

This will be his first run down a straight course but he does seem a smart enough horse to handle it.

The Justin Snaith-Richard Fourie combination have not been firing on all cylinders recently but Arezzo in Race 4 could get them back on a winning thread.

This Go Deputy colt is improving and will be hard to peg back in a modest line-up.
