Bulls boss White sticks with same starting XV for Stormers clash

Compiled by Jacques van der Westhuyzen

Bulls boss Jake White has backed the players who beat a second string Leinster team last time out for the URC quarterfinal against the Stormers in Cape Town on Saturday.

The starting team from that match at Loftus Versfeld, won 62-7 by the Bulls, is unchanged.

The only changes are on the bench where Simphiwe Matanzima and Nizaam Carr get a chance to make an impact against the defending champions, with a place in the semifinals at stake.

Kick-off on Saturday is 3.30pm.

Flyhalf battle

The Stormers, who welcome back Deon Fourie and Leolin Zas for the match, have won all five previous meetings between the teams in the URC, including last season’s final.

Johan Goosen, who was at one stage earlier this week an injury concern after playing Currie Cup rugby last weekend, has been declared fit and will wear the No 10 jersey. His one on one battle with Manie Libbok, formerly of thee Bulls, should be a thrilling one.
