Baxter wants Komphela to join him at Bafana
Phakaaathi sources have revealed that Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter is considering approaching Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela to be his assistant.

“There are a few names he has handed to Safa. Steve is the front-runner because he has worked at Bafana before and Baxter wants someone he can groom to take over in future,” the source said.
Safa will have to negotiate with Amakhosi to release Komphela from his contract if Baxter decides he wants him.
The Briton has indicated he won’t be keeping Owen da Gama on and suggested to Safa that if he is contracted to them that they should re-deploy him elsewhere.
According to sources, Under-20 coach Thabo Senong may stay on as second assistant at Bafana as Baxter is said to be happy with the work he does with the juniors.
