‘Boozing’ players return to Baroka training

Two out of the four players that were rumoured to have been suspended by the club for allegedly drinking on the team bus have resumed training with the rest of the team.

Club’s CEO Morgan Mammila confirmed to Phakaaathi that the two players have returned from the ‘special program’ to training with the team.

The players were suspended along with head coach Kgoloko Thobejane for the incident that occurred after a game in the team bus.

“Two have returned to train with the team. It is Sipho Moeti and Lewis Macha who are back training with the rest of the team. The other players are still on special program and have not returned to train with the rest of the team,” Mammila told Phakaaathi.

“Yes, we have agreed with them [Motor Spares Distributors] to give a player R5 00 each month. They have only agreed to sponsor that for now, and they could sponsor the end of season awards for the club.”
