Bukhosi Sibanda scored from close range to put the visitors at Vosloorus Stadium 1-0 ahead but Ezenkosi were not about to be bullied especially in their back yard and Ange Libahi equalised for from the spot as well.

But it was not to be for Jomo Sono’s team during the penalty shoot-out as embattled Ubuntu did just enough to advance to the next round.

Another surprise result on Wednesday afternoon came from Pietermaritzburg where Royal Eagles routed National First Division title chasers University of Pretoria 3-0 to advance to the next round.
