Billiat, Laffor back at training for Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has revealed that Khama Billiat and Anthony Laffor had their first training session on Thursday morning as they make their way to full fitness.

Liberian forward Laffor has been nursing a foot injury which he picked up earlier this month, while Zimbabwean international Billiat was forced out of action by a rash tackle enforced by Kaizer Chiefs’ Joseph Molangoane over a week ago during their 2-1 defeat to Amakhosi.

“Khama trained today and he got a knock from Wayne Arendse and he limped off,” Mosimane said.

“But I hope it is not major. Laffor has started to kick the ball today, it was his first day, it is encouraging, but obviously he is not fit to play.”

Other casualties in Chloorkop include Mogakolodi Ngele, Cuthbert Malajila and Ivorian striker Yannick Zakri.

“We haven’t got Ngele, he is still struggling with the hamstring. Malajila is out for a long time, he was in surgery today. Zakri is still out with an ankle injury ever since Champions League,” commented Mosimane.
