Komphela’s side again huffed and puffed but never made it really count and ended up with a goalless draw against AmaZulu at FNB Stadium.

Chiefs have not won in their last three matches, collecting just two points out of a possible nine which has seen them fall eight points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns with six games to go.
“We knew they could not stay focused for 90 minutes. We tried to effect the game by introducing more mobile substitutions, but we failed to make it count. We kept pushing, but with no luck,” said Komphela after the draw with Usuthu.
Komphela admitted his side are making things harder for themselves with the unnecessary draws although he praised AmaZulu for their good game plan in keeping them at bay.
“We lost two points again. We have made it difficult for ourselves.
“We thought we would have reduced the gap to five points by now. But this is football and you never know what’s going to happen and we will keep pushing,” said the 50-year-old.
