Chiefs looking to keep unbeaten run

Kaizer Chiefs will be looking to maintain their unbeaten run when they take on Chippa United in an Absa Premiership match at Mbombela Stadium tonight.

Amakhosi are on a thirteen-game unbeaten run in all competitions.

Ahead of tonight’s game against the Chilli Boys, Chiefs defender Tsepo Masilela has admitted that it will be a big challenge to maintain the unbeaten because they are the team to beat.

“We are in a good space at the moment,” Masilela told the club’s website.

“It’s a nice feeling to be in this kind of form. The challenge, however, is to maintain this and to know that we are the team to beat.

“The confidence is sky high in the camp, but the dressing room talk is clear – to remain humble and continue with the attitude of one game at a time.”

Chiefs will tonight be without the suspended Bernard Parker when they face Chippa tonight.

“We miss every player who didn’t make the squad to go the camp.

“We are a united bunch of players. Parker has been doing well, but in his absence we will have someone else who will be capable to do the job upfront. On the other hand, of course, we will miss his experience and intelligence,” commented Masilela.

The game is set to start at 6pm.
