Chiefs youngster Ngcobo prepared to bide his time

The Kaizer Chiefs midfielder will be patient as he searches for his first official appearance for the Naturena-based side.

Nkosingiphile Ngcobo was promoted to Chiefs’ first team from the club’s development in 2017, but he is yet to make his debut for Amakhosi.

“My job is to continue working hard and keep focused because I know my time will come‚” Ngcobo told reporters at OR Tambo International airport this week.

“Coach (Ernst) Middendorp regularly tells me to remain focused and continue to work hard. He tells me that my time to play for the team will come.”

Chiefs have recently promoted Happy Mashiane from their Diski Challenge side and the he has already started a couple of games for the team. Ngcobo said seeing Mashiane and other youngsters playing for Chiefs motivated him.

“It motivates me to see other young players play, but it’s not easy to break through because there are other very good and experienced players in the team.

“We just have to keep working hard and listen to the coaches.”
