Egyptian giants Zamalek fined R400k by Fifa

Zamalek have been fined $30,000 [just over R400 000] by Fifa for failing to pay salaries owed to their former striker Junior Agogo.

Fifa gave Zamalek until Thursday last week to pay the Ghanaian striker $450 000 [just over R6 million] which is the value of his remaining wages.

The White Knights missed the Fifa deadline and were punished.

Agogo joined Zamalek in 2008 from English club Nottingham Forest and left the club nine months later due to unpaid wages.
